Big View Town Hall Forum will host a series of community conversations during the months of (Oct, Nov, Dec.) we are calling them: RACE-TO- BE HUMAN
Join us as we embark on our expedition to explore the creation of Race, the undercurrents of race, bias and stereotypes and dialogue about how this strange yet tangible social construct called RACE can take us to places few of us want to go. These facilitated discussions will center on issues and opportunities facing our Duluth community.
Our first conversation will start on Thursday, October 30, 2014 (5:30pm-8:00pm) at Community Action Duluth, 2424 W 5th Street (the former Lincoln Park School). Big View Town Hall Forum is a solutions-based community platform where people can come together and talk and reason together. This series of conversations are designed to build a foundation for people to see race as a something other than skin color. We encourage community members in this human race to be honest and engaged during these conversations!
