A DVD to Benefit
the Minnesota Association of Deaf Citizens and
the Minnesota Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
A project created by Doug Bowen-Bailey, Signs of Minnesota offers a diverse collection of stories and perspectives shared by Deaf people. Designed for Deaf people, interpreters, students of American Sign Language, and people who are just interested in the experience of Deaf people in Minnesota, it is a worthwhile addition to anyone’s video library.
The diversity of experience and background on this resource is unique. It features a wide spectrum from the grassroots to community leaders. Additionally, these are not rehearsed stories, but over two hours of spontaneous responses to the request to share something on video that would be of benefit to MADC, MRID, and those viewing this DVD. With all that it has to offer, there simply is nothing else like it. Includes English subtitles to assist in comprehension.
